http://www.upi.com/NewsTrack/view.php?StoryID=20051217-111157-3008r Celeb guitars to grace Buffalo for charity BUFFALO, N.Y., Dec. 17 (UPI) -- There have been fiberglass cows and horses painted for charity, and now 6-foot guitars will grace Buffalo, N.Y., streets for charity. Country music star Lee Ann Womack heads the list of celebrity artists asked to decorate fiberglass guitars that will be displayed throughout the community next spring for "Guitars for Hope," the Buffalo (N.Y.) News reported Saturday. NBC's "Meet the Press" moderator and Buffalo-native Tim Russert, "Law and Order" star and Buffalo-native Jesse L. Martin, the Goo Goo Dolls' Robby Takac and race car designer Sam Bass have also been asked to turn a guitar into a work of art. The 60 guitars decorated by celebrities will displayed in April and May and auctioned at a June 16 gala to benefit the Kelly for Kids and Hunters Hope foundations -- charities founded by former Buffalo Bills quarterback Jim Kelly and WNED-TV, a public television station. WNED sponsors the North American Rock Guitar Competition June19. Oh, I love Buffalo. I love the buffalo statues and I'm gonna love driving all over Buffalo searching for Robby's guitar.
