Little write-up

SINGLE: BETTER DAYS After too many years of seemingly recording the same song over and over, Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik took time off in 2003 to recharge and work on some new ideas. The group‘s January cover of Supertramp‘s 1977 hit "Give a Little Bit" was not exactly an encouraging sign of the Dolls‘ road to reinvention, but new track "Better Days" offers the assurance that adult top 40 radio has a band as durable as Matchbox Twenty in its score book. Produced by Glenn Ballard, the song is silky and yet still muscular, and as usual, an effective vehicle for impactful vocalist Rzeznik. Lyrically, he takes on world hunger ... noble, if not unique. http://www.leadingthecharge.com/stories/news-0083014.html I don't really agree with all of it. Don't think "Better Days" is about world hunger and definitely don't think this is the first song to show the Goos are a durable band. I thought they proved that like 7 years ago...

I don't know where the world hunger view came from, I guess all music is open to interpretation. Can't they see that our good goo guys just CARE. Any good press is GOOd. Still haven't heard it on the radio though.

I think the CNN Katrina ad made everyone (who don't know as much about the Goos as us, anyway) think that it is a song about Katrina.

it's a great song, and us as goo fans know it was before katrina... but if people want to think it was written for katrina... let them. it's just more exposure for goo. and being here in new orleans, the message of better days... we sure think there has to be better days after this mess.

It's a great song... I like the "impactful vocalist" part.. Don't know about the world hunger thing... I actually thought it was much broader than that....

| I certainly don't agree with that, each song is different! And they proved themselves about 7 years ago!
