What's with all the lie references?

It's so sad that so many of John's songs refer to lying and betrayal. I know he had a crappy hand dealt to him as an adolescent, but he's turned out so great...what a ball of doubt he is!
I'm happily married so he can't be married to ME! ME! ME!  But I wish he had someone that loved him completely to make him feel better about everything  , He needs to find a nice woman (preferably not a little neurotic twinkie) who could make him see the glass half full more often.
Of course, this could totally change his music...just get rid of some of the angst and keep on writing amazing music!
Life is hectic, crazy and full of "toxic" people. Happiness is a choice!
I will now step off of my soapbox (again).
Ahhh, he's such a great package! Dreamy.....

i don't think so many of his songs refer to lies and betrayal. they refer to mental/emotional issues and disappointment within his relationships. those songs he wrote about his relationships on Gutterflower were pretty depressing but that's just how things turned out. writing is how he releases stress and his emotions but i don't think he's a pessimist. he just sees the reality of the situation and writes exactly how he feels at the time. if you just got out of a bad relationship, would you be writing happy lyrics? i'm sure he's looking for a nice woman. no woman can ever make him feel better about everything; that's a choice he has to make on his own.

I am so happy for you that you are happy and your life has been so great.I am truly not being sarcastic BUT a lot of us have not had the best of lives and I for one can relate to a lot of the lyrics and it really helps me through the hard times.If he was happy all the time we'd be getting backstreet boys music out out of the goos.Thank God he can write through the pain so that we can all be helped in some way or another.People can realate to negativity more so than positivity unfortunately.

EVeryone can relate to the Goo's songs, maybe not all of them.....
When writers write (haha), they write about what they are feeling and what they want to get out in the open that has been possibley bothering them..... A writer isnt as successful 'till the listener gets what the song is about, unless they interprete into their own meaning, that is another way...you can relate to the song because of what you think the song is about and thats the lyric writers dream, not to relate to the song because of what he wrote it about but mold it into something you relate too.... That's why a lot of ppl can relate to the goo's because their songs can have double meanings, for the band and for yourself.
Take black balloon for example, not everyone we know or knew had a herion addiction, so how can ppl relate to it? I can totally relate to it because one of my family members who has a drug problem but not herion... Its kinda like that...
But its always great for the band when someone can relate to their music for what it is, music helps a lot of people, without music and especially the goos I probably wouldn't be here.... Thats why we should appreciate everything the goos write about rather you relate to it or not, which a lot of ppl prob can relate..
actually what i just said ^^ was really off topic, and i dunno why i said all of that haha sorry for boring you.
Question: is johnny still dating Adrienne?

I can definately relate too some of John's songs and the way he expresses him self through his music is amazing. He puts so much feeling and emotion into his songs and i just love that!!!! I think it's always better to write how you feel and express it rather than keeping it inside you have to let it out someway and he does it through his music!!! O.k i'm finished!!!!!!
