Do you think thats where they came up with the name for the band?

interesting, but i thought they were looking thru a magazine before a gig, saw an advertisement for a "goo goo doll" and that's where it came from.
i'm not 100% sure though really!

Interesting. I was under the impression that the band name had come from "True Detective" magazine (as Babs said an ad on the back for a 'goo goo doll')
However, this sheet music & corresponding song/music is about a 'goo goo doll', so perhaps this is something that refers to the original doll that was advertised?
I guess we'll never know for sure..............

Yeah, they got the name from an ad in True Detective Magazine. A goo goo doll was something with a squishy face or something really strange. They were quite ugly!
