It's difficult to say how long it might take to record - as far as I can remember from the agonising wait for Gutterflower, it was due to be released late 2001 - but then Sept 11 happened and it threw everything back by several months, and I was unaware of Goo before DUTG, so I have no idea how long their recording process took for that album. As far as I remember about audio snippets and such, they never released any previews - but they did tell us the titles of "Here Is Gone" and "Think About Me" in an update, I think... You should be able to check the old Daily Goo updates and stuff from way back when under the "archives" button (second to last button on the top). Sorry for not being much help - but if it's any consolation, we're all just as eager/impatient for new Goo...

With GF there was a sampler that some of us got of 5 songs shortly before the record came out. We do all share, so if/when some snippets come out, it shouldn't be too hard to get hold of it.

it takes them eons to get a new record out lol i'm not dissin... it just takes them a good amount of time to do their thing... ever since ABNG (when i got onto them anyways). i don't wait anymore personally... it's too frustrating. it'll come when it comes is how i think of it all now.

From what I've gathered (I am not an expert by any means), it takes days to a few months to record, but it's really the mixing, editing, and perfecting the sound of the songs that takes the longest. No new music ever seems to leak until very shortly before the album is going to be publicly released, and by that point, it's essentially done anyway, and all that they're dealing with are probably marketing, touring, advertising-related stuff, I'm guessing. ~ Amanda
