it's almost 4am, i can't sleep and there is nothing on tv. . .except paid programming *cringe*  so i get my Music in High Places out and am watching Black Balloon and thinking deep thoughts about tape "that must be double sided tape on those guitars to keep the pics on!"  then i start to really pay attention and sometimes rzeznik's guitar has 2 pics stuck to it and others it has 1. . .but robby's bass is the best cuz sometimes it has 1 then 2 then none at all, not even that double sided tape i was thinking so deeply about!  i need sleep. . . Grin

Yeah, I noticed that too! I just figured with the mutiple shots they had done and then did the editing... it got spliced together and thats' were the disappearing/reappearing guitar pics come from !
