So, is anyone going to bring their little ones to the show in Dearborn? I have a 7 and 5 yo who love Goo but they have never been to a concert before. I think if there are other kiddies there they may have more fun! What does everyone think?

| I would try to post and find out more about this particular location and how the venues are as far as the crowds and organization of the crowd, how rowdy is it I've been to a lot of shows before and I went to one in Groton...which was a general adm. Let me tell you it was utter chaos.... the crowd was wild and outta control..... i saw people there with their kids and their kids were crying because they were getting clausterphobic(SP) and crushed. I myself had to be pulled and would up in the Red Cross tent from bruised ribs. anyway....... Just find out more about the crowd control and the way the shows are normally.

I plan to take my 8 year old daughter. It will be her first show ever. She's very excited. My hubby's coming too ... hopefully he can help with crowd control in the event things become out of hand. In my experience ... at least at Goo shows ... people look out for the kids. But, I'm sure every show and every venue is different. Blessed, that's a good idea to look into the security and crowd control plan.

This particular show was a Bon Jovi show I was there with the Backstage w/Jon B Jvi fan club, it was at the Groton CT Navy base...It was BAD!!! I felt so bad for those kids and no one could move, we were packed like sardines..... my suggestion would be if the venue is questionable, to take the sidelines and not try to be so close to stage..... for the safety of the kids....You never know, ya know?

Yeah ... that's a good point. I know if it looks rowdy my hubby would tell me stay up close and he'd just take our daughter back a bit ... he's great like that.

I dont have kids but i think i would only bring them if there would be a designated "moshpit" area so you know where you can be without being squashed. I would think if the venue was rather large, say a stadium, and you know that there will be a place away from the main crowd where you can sit down or something would be good for the kids..

I went to my first concert when I was 8...it was Jimmy Buffett. There were people smoking pot right behind us, people stumbling around drunk, bad words and nudity abound.... and I had the time of my life. almost 10 years later I can still remember it perfectly. Hahah if my first concert was Jimmy Buffett and I came out perfectly unscathed, your kids should be ok with the Goos.
