To the best of my knowledge there has never been a 'Robby video' because none of his songs has ever been released as a single. I heard there was some kind of campaign for 'You never know' to be released off Gutterflower - don't think it got very far though. But yes, I think it would be awesome for one of Robby's songs to be released as a single...though I don't think it's ever gonna happen. Maybe if they DO release the video compilation thing that they've mentioned a few times, they could be persuaded to record vids for some of Robby's more popular songs? Just a thought...*shrugs*

There is one "Robby" video that I know of around. It is a performance of "Lucky Star" that was taped for the Goo Goo Dolls VH-1 Storytellers (April 2002), but it did not make it on to the televised show (first aired June 2002). You can view it at VH1.com. Just go to the Goo Goo Dolls Artist page, then click on videos, or just use this link: http://www.vh1.com/artists/az/goo_goo_dolls/videos.jhtml. It is near the bottom of the list, and is titled "Goo Goo Dolls perform Lucky Star". enjoy!

The first video the Goos ever made was for "No Way Out", which is a Robby/John song. I'm pretty sure it was never played on MTV or anything and I think very few people have ever seen it. Also, if you watch Behind the Music, there's a part where they show Robby singing "On Your Side" at a show, but it cuts into this weird graphic of eyes or a face, so I've always wondered if there was a video made for that too, but never got any real airplay.

This is all very interesting, I wonder why they never went very far with the Robby vids though. I mean I know Richie Sambora had to really fight Jon BJ for his own air/video time. I can't imagine Robby really having to put up a fight with the other Goos, afterall if it weren't for Robby they probably wouldn't have ever left the bar scenes. Maybe Robby just doesn't really care about the video side of things. Once you get into the videos the music kinda takes on a whole other perspective, as far as the amount of time/energy you invest. Probably sucks the life right outta ya.
