new producer?

If someone has posted about this, please feel free to yell at me... Today my dad mentioned that he heard on Mix 99.9 (Toronto) that the Goos were recording a new record. I kind of tuned it out because I'm used to him telling me what the Goos are doing way after I already know about it. So I said I knew and that they were working on it in Buffalo. Anyways, he continued on saying that 'that Rzeznik guy' had produced a record for some local guy 'Andy S-something' and again I said that I knew that and that he wasn't really local but Canadian. So then he said that Andy Stochansky (I told him the name) was, in return, producing some of the Goos' new songs, which was news to me. Anyways, that's just what my dad told me, which he heard from the radio. I don't know if it's true or not, but my dad has little to no reason to lie to me. I kind of hope it's true, because I like Andy Stochansky and am curious to hear what the Goos sound like with a new producer, etc. I guess we'll have to wait and see if I'm just causing wild rumors to be spread all over.

hmm that must have been when they played Slide today, I caught the last bit of it...that would be interesting if that's true...I love Andy's music, I have the Shine ep (thanks to Canadiangooer ) Johnny produced Shine and Butterfly Song on that ...I forget when the full length is gonna be released....I can definitely hear the goo influence. Btw I thought Andy was from Toronto ...which would make him local (well to me...sorta, I live in Mississauga)

Local for you. I'm in Buffalo, so not exactly local for me (well, kinda, but the whole different country thing confuses me) I'm not sure when he heard it on the radio. When I heard them play GALB on Mix 99.9 today they just said something along the lines of "the Goos are in the studio making another record"

That's really interesting, thanks for posting that. We've been meaning to check out Andy Stochansky's stuff for a while now and your post might well prompt us to do so a bit quicker! Take care L&N
