Green Day, Jason Freeze, and Storytellers

Hey All, Tuesday night was a very cool night for me. I went to the Green Day taping of VH1 storytellers. I got to see our old friend Jason Freeze on stage. He looked really good and very comfortable working with Green Day. I think it is great that he got to hook up with such a cool band The major point of this thread was to tell everyone I saw Jason, however, as a side note I just wanted to say how much I love Green Day. Goo holds a special place in my heart, but i think Green Day are brilliant. American Idiot is the best album I have ever heard. Jason is not the only link between Goo and Green Day as this album (and other Green Day albums) was produced by Rob Cavallo. Billy Joe Armstrong is the best front man in the business. He is so theatrical and gifted it is incredible. Go see them if they are coming to a town near you. By the way, during Storytellers, they played American Idiot from start to finish. So f-ing cool That's the end of my rant. Cheers, Brian

I thought it was Jason Freese? Although many people are going to hate me for saying it, American Idiot is not all that great in my opinion, especially the title track. I admire them for writing new songs after the master reels were stolen for the original batch. That's definitely cool, but the album doesn't do much for me.

An opinion can never be wrong, as it's all in the eye of the beholder. But in all seriousness, that's awesome. Even though I don't like the album, I still would've like to have been at that taping. Sounds like you had a great time.

| That is true 99.9% of the time. Just not in this case.

Everyone has their own opinion. So agree to disagree. Just let's all agree on this: VH1 is going to butcher the Storytellers performance by splitting up the way Greenday played their set.

How cool! I forgot Jason was gonna be touring with Green Day. I'm buying tix to see them tomorrow, now I've got a Goo connection too.
