Line from 'Think About Me'.....

It's so cool to have a revelation years after you hear a song for the first time.
I never really 'got' the line 'the girl you never knew, it what you fear....' from Think About Me. It wasn’t until my girlfriend said to me a few weeks ago, 'that when it comes to our relationship, and even though you haven’t seen you ex for almost 18 months now, she's the one of all the women in the world that I fear the most....'
I already knew the song TAM were written with dating/relationships in mind, but still I never got that line... until now

Oh wow...I love things like this, hearing interpretations of lyrics which just totally make you re-think your assumptions.
Like grace, I presumed it was about the girl not knowing HERSELF, especially in conjunction with the previous line ("You see a little stranger in your mirror...") but this interpretation is interesting, and something that never occurred to me before.

I thought:
"And you got a secret I can't keep
You see a little stranger in your mirror
The girl you never knew is what you fear"
Might have been that the secret was he caught his friends girl messing around. ANd that she didnt tell this guy and that only when she was with the guy and around him she thought of what she did---something that she didnt ever think she would have done in her life---which goes with the 'you see a little stranger in your mirror"..
OUCH......that gave me a headache coming up with that one.

That's a pretty good interpretation and songs are supposed to make u mold it into something u can relate.
In my opinion, I think he was more talking about how a girl is looking at herself.

Fascinating interpretation... Now I have to go back and relisten all over again...
I had a boyfriend once and his ex (who lived on the other side of the country) was always hovering over us in some weird way....
