lol! i've been listening to a lot of Linkin Park thanks to my daughter and with a new album coming out... i got to thinking... and started lmao... can you envision John and Robby adding some rap to their tunes? hmmm...  ...  i'd get a bang out of it, but it'd be pretty damn funny! have any of you thought of mixing up goo with other genres or am i way bored? and i'm talking really noticable mixes.

Rapping goos...lol that's pretty funny. I would think that Robby would be able to pull it off better than John...John doesn't seem like a rapping kinda guy. Not that Robby DOES, I just think if it came down to it he'd be the more convincing of the two.
As for other genres...I'd like to see the Goos go back to their roots a bit, towards the sort of punkier sound they had on earlier albums

John's not 'too cool', lol he's not cool ENOUGH...
He doesn't strike me as being very 'street', if that makes any sense.
And as a bass player Robby obviously has to have a great sense of rhythm, which has gotta help when you're rapping...
And I don't think I've ever even heard Mike SPEAK. *points at name* I live in the land of Goolessness, so my chances to see the guys in any capacity are fairly limited. So I can't really comment on Mike's suitability as a rapper, haha.

I agree with you Lea. I just don't think they're "street" enough.
I know I'm gonna get hate comments for this but I could see them mixing with country easier than rap *ducks head from flying objects*

ya know, i've always thought of What A Scene as the Goo's version of rap because he speaks more than he sings in the verses. i've always called this song "The Rzeznik Rap", but i'm a dork like that. . .

You both have an excellent point. I've never looked at it like that. And, that's one of my favorites off of Gutterflower. I always wished they would have released that.
