OK so an impulse buy resulted in a ukulele, so I've been learning for the last couple of weeks. This is a song I wrote last night and recorded (badly). Would just like to know what people think.

I wish I were a flower
At least then I’d find the sun
Rather than a bullet in my gun

At least after all the tears
I’d know you were long gone from here
I wish I were a poet
At least then I’d find a way
Of saying all the things I need to say
I wish you were a mountain
At least I’d have something to climb
Instead of wasting all this precious time
And oh, what do you see?
In our empty little house, is empty little me
I wish I wasn’t lonely
Every time you call
Just me inside these four walls
I wish you all the very best
At least when you’re back on track
I won’t be there to hold you back
I feel fine,
I’ll be fine.
