Anyone from/near Colorado?

Hi,
I have a close friend who in considering a move to Colorado. Can you recommend a city with a population of approx. 30,000?
One of her major concerns in having travel a long way to see GOO. Is Red Rocks the only place they play in CO? Where else have you travelled to see them? (from CO)

I have friends who live in Colorado Springs and absolutely LOVE it. They say it's just beautiful there. I believe CS is about an hour south of Denver.
I have no idea where concerts are in Colorado besides Red Rocks.
