Barenaked Ladies Live Fast-Food Dream For 'Pinch Me' Video August 1, 2000 - A fast-food restaurant featuring backwards-motion food fights, AMC Pacers, and the Barenaked Ladies' Ed Robertson working the drive-through window are among the focal points for the video for BNL's "Pinch Me," which recently wrapped in Los Angeles. In a written treatment obtained by LAUNCH, the video is described as "American Beauty and Blue Velvet meets Singing In The Rain" with "very straight-faced absurdity." The clip culminates with "a choreographed dance in the style of Lionel Richie's 'All Night Long' video." A cameo that may or may not survive the editing process was made by Will & Grace star Eric McCormack, who was on hand to hang with his favorite band as part of the VH1 show, Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy. VH1, meanwhile, is also busy working on a Behind The Music about Barenaked Ladies. "Pinch Me" is the first single off the Barenaked Ladies' new album, Maroon, due in stores on September 12. -- Neal Weiss, Los Angeles
